I stayed here for a week in November. You have proximity (two blocks from Red Square, one from the Bolshoi and Metropol, two from the Metro); class - a renovated tsarist era building; excellent service; and a real classic Russian Empire aura about it. Highly recommend it.
Very comfortable, quiet, well run. Excellent location, on quiet block just off Tverskaya near Red Square. A romantic place. Wonderful breakfast buffet. Compared to other high grade hotels, I thought it was a good value. Its not the kind of hotel with all the extra facilities like exercise center, pool, etc. But elegant decor, good restaurant, excellent staff, nicely appointed. If you want to go with a girl (which I did) and you want to have elegant quiet time together, with easy access to Moscow nightlife, then it is perfect. |
