There are two world-renowned circuses in Moscow. One on Tsvetnoy Boulevrad, which is named after Moscow 's most famous clown and most loved actor Yuri Nikulin. Another, more modern arena is on Vernadskogo prospect. The shows there are larger than life, and simply breathtaking. Travel to one or both, whichever you choose, you wont regret your visit. This Moscow circus was opened on the 30th of April, 1971. Illusionists, clowns, kangaroo, monkeys, dogs, Ussurian and Bengalian tigers perform shows. There is a cafe in the circus. An amusements ground is next to the circus. This Moscow Circus is called “the big circus”. And it lives up to its title. From the huge tent-like metal and glass structure that makes up the Moscow circus building complex to the shows with bears on motorcycles, wild animals, gymnasts on horses and much more; everything is just grand. Kids as well as grownups will enjoy a visit to the Big Moscow Circus. Moscow circus arts are among the best in the world.

One of the oldest circuses in Russia. Excellent shows, holidays celebrations for children, buffets and cafes. This is a more chamber-like Moscow circus, compared to the large and airy Big Moscow Circus. The show focuses on clown performances and acts with small animals, such as cats, monkeys, bears, and birds.
Tickets cost from 20 to 180 rbl. From 11:00 to19:00 (fom 14:00 to 15:00 lunch break during the week, from 12:30 till 13:30 on Saturday and Sunday).
