Among the guests: Tetris (downtempo, Russia), MixMaster Morris, Funki Porchini (Ninja Tune, UK), Fingathing (Grand Central, UK).
The interior comprises brick walls, pipes under the ceiling and rough wooden tables and chairs, to give it inevitably underground feel.
Until 10pm-11pm they serve tasty food and sell relatively cheap drinks. Meals start at $5, fresh juices - $3, beers - $3-$4). After 11, the tables and chairs are taken out, and people start to dance cooling down only by 3-4am.

In the center of the dancefloor there's a statue of Buddha, and this Moscow night club was called "Buddha Bar" not long ago. Zeppelin

A pretentious club for stuck-up kids with a lot of dough. Sometimes hosts popular western DJs and owners of Zepelin like to invite foreign guests quite often to give the club a "star" flavor.
Has a very closed policy: you can't get in if you don't have a member card. However, the rules are more relaxed if you look like a foreigner — they might let you in without a card, thus making it popular among expats who want to hook up with a Russian girl.
A local alternative English-language weekly Expat made an experiment a few months ago: they got their absolutely normal looking intern dress as a US superstar DJ, got him a girlfriend for a few hours, and a limo. Then they brought all that to Tsepellin, and the guy got through without any problems.

Ministerstvo

The main venue for house and techno music, popular among students, businessmen in their 40s and their model-like girlfriends.
The interior exploits the Soviet theme: the sickle and hammer on the walls and next to DJ decks, rude security guys.
Strict door policy: open to members only, as our friend says "you can't get there if you don't carry acid on you — you will simply not fit". But then, again, if you're a foreigner you may get in.

Courvoisier

Moscow's favorite spot. The keys of success are well-designed interior, hip crowd, joyful music, tasty and reasonably priced meals, friendly staff, 24-hour schedule. A great place to start a night out or to meet new friends.
The cuisine is mostly Italian and quite inexpensive: main course for $7-$15, snacks for $5, desserts for $3-$5, drinks for $2-$5, a good meal costs about $15 for one person.
DJs play every day starting around 7pm house and latin-house music, easy-listening, downtempo. The rest of the time the music is nice as well.
On popular evenings (Thursday to Saturday), there may be a queue outside, so you may need to wait about 5 to 15 minutes before getting in.
We highly recommend this place, it's very universal and is suitable for dates, business meetings, or just fun.

Kult

They call themselves "the first chill-out cafe in Moscow ", but it looks like they copied what was in Propaganda. Anyway, this place is quite nice, not to dance, but if you want to sit, have a meal, relax, and listen to good soothing downtempo or ethnic music. The restaurant serves African food for moderate prices a dinner for $15. There's a nice lounge with cushions and a small table - a good place to meet new people. The plastic tree in the lounge looks fake though.
